Salt Spring Community Concert Band and music director Keith Ollerenshaw are proud to present Lost and Found on Friday, May 3 at ArtSpring. Our performance depicts the warmth of spring and bids farewell to the cold long nights. We welcome brighter days with classics of the wind band repertoire, Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger and Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E Flat, selections that tour us through the rolling hills of Southern England. American composer Aaron Copland will warm us with familiar melodies and themes from the United States. The Adult Beginner Band will join us for a few selections. Contemplative and exciting works by Frank Ticheli, Robert Sheldon and Camille Saint-Saens round out the program.
