Found on the facebook – scroll down for a video version!  See the CymaScope website for more info on how it was done.

P.S. Many of you have asked if this incredible image is available as a poster. As I’m just sharing it, you’ll have to go to the source to make inquiries about merch. Here is the link to the Cymascope Store. I don’t see these images for sale, yet, but they have other ones available in prints or canvases.

    1. I’m just sharing this image, it’s not mine, so can’t help you out on posters, I’m afraid. I agree, though, a poster of this would be awesome! Try going to the link in the post: those are the people who made and own the image.

      1. Drummer Hoff fired it off! My favorite book as a kid. My dad bought it for my kids before he passed. Also love this, so gorgeous.

        1. I’m glad someone got the reference! It was one of my favorites as well. I was quite taken with the illustration style – I remember trying to copy the drawings. Ed Emberley!

  1. I’m curious as to how a musical melody or chords would look in a bowl of water…being harmonic and counterpoint frequencies by definition.
